New Mexico selected as site for 2011 UMAC Annual Meeting

The United Methodist Association of Communicators accepted a recommendation from the Event Planning Committee to hold the 2011 Annual Meeting in the New Mexico Annual Conference. Neill Caldwell, chair of the committee, and Karla Abernethy-Thetford, Director of Communications for the New Mexico Annual Conference, brought the recommendation to the board’s monthly phone meeting, Jan. 12.

 

Caldwell and Abernethy-Thetford will request bids from hotels in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area, with a goal of presenting a final recommendation to the board by mid-summer. Abernethy-Thetford told the board that the New Mexico Conference is excited about welcoming United Methodist Communicators to their conference.
