Join the United Methodist Association of Communicators
Not every communicator in The United Methodist Church will face the challenges of boundary realignment; but all communicators can benefit from the relationships developed through UMAC.

Within our network we hope to share ideas, learn new ways of communicating, and study best practices. We also aim to stay on top of new technologies and trends. Most importantly, we develop relationships and connections that strengthen your ministry.

Become a member of UMAC by filling out the online form below, or fill in, print and mail the PDF form. The annual embership fee is $75 a year.
History
In July, the Northeastern Jurisdiction voted to support a proposal from six of its conferences to make Vermont part of the New England Annual Conference and form two new conferences: a new Central Pennsylvania Conference combining the existing Central Pennsylvania Conference with the Pennsylvania churches of Wyoming Conferences, and an Upper New York Annual Conference, uniting the New York churches of North Central New York, Troy, Western and Wyoming Annual Conferences.

From the beginning, the boundaries leadership at the conference and the jurisdiction level has praised the communications staff for working so easily together. Part of what made that possible was the long-time friendships between the four Directors of Communications. Those friendships and working relationships were begun and strengthened through membership in The United Methodist Association of Communicators.
